Privacy Policy
Back On The Line is a missed-call text-back service based in Austin, TX. It answers missed calls for local businesses by texting the caller back. This page explains what information we handle and what we do with it.
What we collect
- If you call a business that uses Back On The Line: your phone number, the time of your call, and any text messages you send us in reply.
- If you're a business customer: the contact and business details you give us to set up the service.
We don't record calls.
How we use it
We use your number and messages to reply to your call and to pass your message to the business you called, so they can get back to you. Replies may be written by an automated assistant. We don't use your messages to train AI models.
Who we share it with
- The business you called, so they can follow up with you.
- Service providers that run the calls, texts, and hosting for us (such as Twilio and Cloudflare), only as needed to provide the service.
We do not sell your information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
How long we keep it
Call and message records are kept for up to 90 days, then deleted, unless the business you called needs them longer to complete your job.
Your choices
